Summary:
The salary range for the City Attorney is included in the annual salary schedule which is approved by ordinance. City Charter ? 13-80 and City Code ? 1.2.203 require that the annual salary of the City Attorney be prescribed by ordinance.
Background:
It is recommended that the salary of the City Attorney be prescribed at $249,062 annually, together with applicable benefits, effective December 22, 2024 to reflect a 2% increase consistent with the City's Pay for Performance policy; and beginning April 9, 2025, and thereafter, be prescribed at $259,025, together with applicable benefits, to reflect a 4% increase consistent with the City's Pay Progression policy.
Previous Council Action:
Ordinance No. 14-20 (An Ordinance Confirming the Mayor's Appointment of the City Attorney and Setting the Salary of the City Attorney) remains in full force and effect, except to the extent it is inconsistent with the salary prescribed by this ordinance.
