Title
A resolution approving the intergovernmental agreement for inter-connection of bus services between the City of Fountain, Colorado, and the City of Colorado Springs, Colorado
Presenter:
Lan Rao, Transit Division Manager, Public Works
Body
Summary:
The Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between the City of Fountain and the City of Colorado Springs will formalize passenger connections at specifically identified bus stops.
Background:
City of Colorado Springs Transit, doing business as Mountain Metropolitan Transit (MMT), operates fixed-route, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) complementary paratransit, and vanpool services in the City of Colorado Springs, City of Manitou Springs, and portions of unincorporated areas of El Paso County. City of Fountain Municipal Transit (Fountain Transit) provides transit services within the City of Fountain. This IGA allows Fountain Transit to use specific stop locations within the MMT service area, providing inter-connection points for passengers using both transit systems.
