Summary:
City Charter Article III, Section 3-10(e) and City Code Section 1.2.203 require that the salary of the City Council Administrator be prescribed by ordinance.
The proposed Ordinance would repeal Ordinance No. 17-12, which had prescribed the annual salary of the City Council Administrator, Eileen Lynch Gonzalez, at $88,659.35, together with applicable benefits commencing on January 1, 2017, and prescribe the new annual salary of the City Council Administrator commencing January 1, 2018 at $90,530.43, together with applicable benefits.
Previous Council Action:
Pursuant to City Ordinance No. 17-12, the annual salary of the City Council Administrator, Eileen Lynch Gonzalez, was set at $88,659.35, together with applicable benefits, commencing January 1, 2017.
Background:
The proposed salary is within the range for City Council Administrator as established by City Ordinance No. 17-__, regarding the 2018 salary structure for civilian and sworn municipal employees.
The ordinance establishes the effective date of the salary increase as January 1, 2018, which is the date on which other City employee salary increases will commence.
