Summary:
Repeal and replace Article 4 of Chapter 2 - Formerly known as the Sexually Oriented Business License Code, this ordinance reordains Article 4 as the Adult Use Business License Code, with the following updates and changes:
? Name change to Adult Use for conformity with the City UDC and statutory definitions.
? The same non-substantive changes for structural hierarchy and flow outline as
summarized in the proposed changes to Articles 1 and 3 of Chapter 2.
? Updated terminology and references to statutory offenses outlined in multiple sections of
C.R.S. ?16-6.

Background:
The proposed changes to Business Licensing codes are the result of a multi-year effort to update and modernize the business licensing code for the City Clerk's Office and are the initial entries for forthcoming comprehensive City Code updates.

Previous Council Action:
Article 4 is essentially unchanged since 2001 with Ordinance 01-42, with only minor terminology changes in 2014 as a part of Ordinance 14-79.
