Body
From:
Travis Easton, Public Works Director
Kathleen Krager, Transportation Manager

Summary:
Traffic Engineering staff requests approval of the attached ordinance for a supplemental appropriation to the 2014 Budget to increase the expenditure appropriation in the Capital Project Fund by $104,000 in the project account for Signal Additions (202-3300-9330004). The revenue source is recovery funding from developers for the traffic light installed at Voyager and Ridgeline due to the increase in traffic resulting from the development in this area.

Previous Council Action:
N/A

Background:
The payment has been received by developers to cover the costs of the traffic signal. The appropriation request is consistent with past practices for the City to install public improvements due to new subdivisions and receiving recovery funding from the developers.

Financial Implications:
The supplemental appropriation has no adverse effect on the 2014 Budget and does not affect the General Fund fund balance. Revenue is collected from developers specifically for the installation of traffic signals warranted due to development.
