The Civil Action Investigation Committee met on April 15, 2019 and has recommended that the City Council authorize City representation for the named officers as required by the City Code, the Colorado Governmental Immunity Act and the Peace Officers Liability Act. The officers were acting in the course and scope of their employment and in good faith during the incident. As usual, it is recommended that the City reserve the right not to pay any award of punitive damages.
