Summary:
The Cemetery Enterprise, consisting of Evergreen and Fairview Cemeteries, periodically needs to develop land within their respective boundaries for sale of burial and cremation spaces. The development of Block 205 and Block 243 at Evergreen Cemetery will provide both near-term and future revenue estimated at $7,000,000 under the Enterprise's current fee structure.
Background:
Due to the self-supporting nature of the Cemetery Enterprise, it is important to increase the inventory of internment and inurnment products to meet current and future demands. Block 205 will accommodate 552 casket burials and 718 cremation burials. Additionally, Block 243 is being developed as a burial estate for an individual family. Beyond the infrastructure needed to maintain the space in terms of irrigation and access, the family will pay for the right to bury as well as the additional amenities and structures on the site. Please refer to Exhibit A which highlights Block 205 and Block 243 in relation to the rest of Evergreen Cemetery. Please refer to Exhibit B, which is the concept plan for Block 205 and Exhibit C which is the concept plan for Block 243.
