Summary:
Each May is designated Historic Preservation Month by the National Trust for Historic Preservation and as Archaeology and Historic Preservation Month by the State of Colorado. The City of Colorado Springs features many historic treasures that will be celebrated during the month.
Adoption of the Resolution is scheduled for the May 10, 2016 Council meeting.
Previous Council Action:
The City Council previously proclaimed May 2015 to be Historic Preservation Month.

Preservation Month is an opportunity to create awareness of the rich history of the City and to recognize the ongoing community efforts to preserve its history. The Historic Preservation Board of the City of Colorado Springs has coordinated with the Old North End Neighborhood and the Historic Preservation Alliance, to organize two events:

Hidden Treasures of the Historic Mesa Springs Neighborhood
