Current board member, Nolan Schriner resigned on February 1, 2016. This vacant position was advertised and Mayor Suthers conducted interviews. The Mayor recommends Toby Gannett for appointment to a two year term.

Previous Council Action:
Nolan Schriner was appointed to fill a vacant four year term at the April 8, 2014 Regular Council Meeting. He resigned from his position on the Urban Renewal Authority Board on February 1, 2016.
Background:
The Colorado Springs Urban Renewal Authority (CSURA) was established by the City of Colorado Springs City Council in 1970 through the approval of Ordinance No. 3995.
The current board consists of nine commissioners appointed for a term of five years and terms are staggered so one vacancy occurs each year. Accordance with HB-1348, four additional commissioner positions have been added to the board: one to be appointed by El Paso County, one to be appointed by the School Districts, one to be appointed by the Special Districts and one to be appointed by the Mayor.
