Body

  Summary:

In 2007 the RES Manual was initially approved by City Council Resolution.  After 13 years and three (3) amendments it was time to completely review, revise and update the RES Manual.

  Background:

The Manual Revision Committee (the “Committee”) is comprised of representatives from the City of Colorado Springs to include the City Attorney’s office, Colorado Springs Airport, Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services, Public Works, SWENT and the Planning Department; Colorado Springs Utilities and City Councilmembers Knight and Geislinger.  The Committee’s mission was to totally review and revise the existing RES Manual that was approved by City Council Resolution on September 11, 2007, as has been in use since then with three (3) revisions (see below).  The Committee has worked diligently to clarify, update, and strengthen the RES Manual to make the Manual and even better tool for the acquisition and disposition of the City's real property interests.

Previous Council Action:

On September 11, 2007, City Council Resolution 155-07 was approved adopting the RES Manual.  On January 24, 2012, City Council Resolution 14-12 was approved amending §4.3, 6.3, 8.2, 8.5 and 8.6 of the RES Manual.  On January 26, 2016, City Council Resolution 12-16 was approved amending §10.2 of the RES Manual.  On August 28, 2018, City Council Resolution 89-18 was approved to include Section 5.9 Community Benefit.
