Body
 From:
Steve Cox, Chief of Staff
Dave Lethbridge, Interim Public Works Director

 Summary:
Approval of the attached resolution approves the partial abandonment in the amount of $4,950,133 of the original Woodmen Road Widening Project (9319033) and authorizes the transfer of $4,950,133 to the Woodmen, Stinson to Powers Project (93190XX).

  Previous Council Action:
Resolution No. 42-14:  On May 13, 2014, City Council authorized the Mayor to execute two agreements to allow the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) to move funding in the amount of $4,950,133 from the original CDOT contract to a new CDOT contract for the Woodmen Road Widening Project.

 Background:
The original Woodmen Road Widening and the Woodmen Road, Phase II projects were authorized for the design and right-of-way acquisition phases only.  A new CDOT project was required to add the construction phase.  Resolution No. 42-14 authorized the Mayor to sign the agreements necessary for CDOT to create the new project and transfer $4,950,133 from the original project to the new project. This resolution allows abandoning the original Woodmen Road Widening project in the city's financial software to then be able to create the new Woodmen, Stinson to Powers Project (103-3197-93190XX) .

  Financial Implications:
There are no financial implications.  The funds proposed for transfer in this resolution have been previously appropriated.
