Summary:
The City Attorney’s Office - Utilities Division will present a Decision and Order and Resolution for the July 2026 Net Metering Rate Case based upon the August 25, 2026, public hearing held for Colorado Springs Utilities’ July 2026 Net Metering Rate Case.
Background:
On July 7, 2026, Colorado Springs Utilities distributed a July 2026 Net Metering Rate Case filing that included certain proposed changes to the URR Sheets effective April 1, 2027. Utilities filed supplemental information to the July 2026 Net Metering Rate Case on August 17, 2026. In accordance with Colorado Springs City Code § 12.1.108, City Council held a public hearing on August 25, 2026, regarding Colorado Springs Utilities’ July 2026 Net Metering Rate Case. Notices of proposed changes were provided in The Gazette on July 17, 2026.
The Decision and Order summarizes Colorado Springs Utilities’ July 2026 Net Metering Rate Case and the record of the public hearing held on August 25, 2026. The Decision and Order also contains City Council’s initial directions at that public hearing regarding the July 2026 Net Metering Rate Case. The final Decision and Order and final Resolution will be presented for approval by City Council at the September 22, 2026, meeting.
