Summary:
Required codification allowing licensed retail (recreational) marijuana sales and related operations in the City of Colorado Springs.
Background:
On November 5, 2024, a majority of the citizens of Colorado Springs approved an initiated ordinance allowing recreational marijuana sales and related licenses within the city limits. This ordinance updates Chapter 2, Article 2, Part 1 (Medical Marijuana) code section to include the initiated ordinance language allowing retail marijuana without increasing the existing location cap and renames the part to Marijuana License Code.

Over the years various changes were made to the Chapter 2, Article 2, Part 1 (Medical Marijuana) code section, with the last revision being Ordinance 20-93 effective December 21, 2020.
