William Gray - Senior Planner  
William Gray, Senior Planner, said the board will be receiving a packet for  
review for the January Historic Preservation Board Meeting. It includes a  
nomination for The Moore House, located at 738 East Spruce Street, from  
the National Register for historical places. It is significant not only for the  
architecture, but for who was there. It was one of the City of Colorado  
Springs first black doctors and used as a tourist home where people  
stayed during segregation times. It is currently owned by Page Sauslbury  
in the Planning Department. The Historic Preservation Board will hear  
whether the application meets the criteria for nomination.

9.A. Saving Places Conference - Jennifer Orrigo Charles  
Jennifer Orrigo Charles, Executive Director, Colorado Preservation Inc.  
spoke about the Saving Places Conference. The conference will be held at  
the Cheyenne Mountain Resort from January 29th through February 1st,  
2025. Ms. Charles said it is an opportunity for individuals across the state  
and beyond to come together and look at the foundation sessions that are  
tied to historic preservations. The theme this year is intangible heritage.  
Ms. Charles encouraged the board members to attend or volunteer at the  
event  
9.B. Historic Resource Survey Plan Update  
Mr. Gray said the plan is being updated and will be discussed further in  
January.  
9.C. Historic COS Workshop Series  
Mr. Gray gave an update on the Historic COS Workshop Series. Several  
ideas were presented to include workshops, virtual tours, educational  
outreach, social media and testimonials. Mr. Gray asked the board  
members to decide what the topics of the workshop should be. The board  
members gave opinions on what may be accomplished for 2025.
