William Gray - Senior Planner
William Gray, Senior Planner, said the board will be receiving a packet for
review for the January Historic Preservation Board Meeting. It includes a
nomination for The Moore House, located at 738 East Spruce Street, from
the National Register for historical places. It is significant not only for the
architecture, but for who was there. It was one of the City of Colorado
Springs first black doctors and used as a tourist home where people
stayed during segregation times. It is currently owned by Page Sauslbury
in the Planning Department. The Historic Preservation Board will hear
whether the application meets the criteria for nomination.
