Summary:
The City Attorney’s Office, Utilities Division will present a Decision and Order and Resolution for the 2020 Electric Rate Case based upon the October 22, 2019 public hearing held for Colorado Springs Utilities’ 2020 Rate Case filed on September 10, 2019.
Background:
On September 10, 2019 Colorado Springs Utilities submitted a 2020 Rate Case filing that included proposed changes to the Electric Rate Schedules effective January 1, 2020. In accordance with Colorado Springs City Code § 12.1.108, City Council held a public hearing on October 22, 2019 regarding Colorado Springs Utilities’ 2020 Electric Rate Case.
The Decision and Order summarizes Colorado Springs Utilities’ 2020 Electric Rate Case and the record of the public hearing held on October 22, 2019. The Decision and Order also contains City Council’s initial directions at that public hearing regarding the 2020 Electric Rate Case. The final Decision and Order and final Resolution presented for approval by City Council at the November 12, 2019 meeting include any City Council directed revisions from the November 7, 2019 Work Session meeting.
