Summary:
During 2016, as part of the citywide “code scrub” effort to review City Code for necessary updates, members of City Council and representatives of the executive branch convened working committee to review the provisions of Chapter 1 (Administration) and certain provisions of other chapters that are administrative in nature. As a result of that review, the group recommends a number of changes to certain administrative provisions of City Code.
This ordinance amends Section 1.4.105 of Chapter 1 to amend a provisions relating to the eligibility of an officer of the City appointed by the Mayor or City Council to be a candidate for elective office.
