Title

The Southeast Strong Neighborhood Plan, a neighborhood planning developed as part of the PlanCOS initiative for a Neighborhood Planning Program.

  Presenter:

Page Saulsbury, Planner II, City Planning Department

Kevin Walker, Planning Director, City Planning Department

Body

The Southeast Strong Neighborhood Plan (herein referred to as “Plan”) sets priorities that leverage smart growth and livability principles in alignment with PlanCOS goals. To accomplish these aspirations the Plan was guided by the development of a community vision for the area and strategies that will guide policy, investment, and development to improve quality of life and preserve the neighborhood's unique character.

The Plan encompasses a geographic area between Interstate 25 and Powers Boulevard and a northern boundary of Fountain Boulevard and the City’s southeastern boundary along Milton East Proby Parkway. The Plan consists of six neighborhoods identified in PlanCOS: Spring Creek, Pikes Peak Park North, Pikes Peak Park South, Southborough, Deerfield Hills, and Soaring Eagle.
